Kaj Holmberg is professor emeritus at the Department of Mathematics at Linköping University.
He has been the head of the Division of Optimization, and
was examiner for the courses TAOP33, TAOP61, TAOP86 and TAOP88,
for which he has written a book (in swedish).
He has also constructed several optimization codes:
Vineopt, Vileopt, Nileopt, used both in teaching and research.
His research has covered many areas, from mathematical decompostion methods, via telecommunication optimization to snow removal in urban areas. He is using digital maps from OpenStreetMap and data from GPS-receivers for route optimization, related to rural postman problems.
